Visits from Iowa

Grandma Fonda and Grandpa came to visit Ty all the way from Iowa!! We were so happy to see them. We really wish they would move back to Texas...Everything is bigger and better in Texas...that's what I heard anyways :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

November 22, 2012: Happy Thanksgiving! We are truly blessed and thankful for our wonderful family and friends, most of all our healthy baby boy Ty! What a great way to celebrate our little Turkey. This Thanksgiving was definitely different than all the others considering we had Lubys for our meal lol but we were thankful to spend it together as our first little family and with Suzie and Doug :) I want to give a shout out to my family spread  all over the place in Texas, Iowa, Virginia, Japan, and Afghanistan. I miss and love all of you so much! I can't wait until we can celebrate all together like old times. I am thankful you all are safe. So much to be thankful for everyday, today is just a day to shout it out to the world. Thank you lord for my wonderful life, without you I would have nothing :)

Happy Birthday Justin!

November 20, 2012: Happy Birthday Justin...aka Daddy! Today is Justin's 27th birthday! He says that his birthday present came 3 days early!...Ty was born Nov. 17th...hint hint :) We were so lucky to celebrate his birthday with friends and family! This birthday was a unique birthday to Justin, because instead of Vic-n-Anthony's Steakhouse we had Uncle Lee's Chinese take out! But more importantly this was his first birthday spend with our baby boy Ty. Happy Birthday love of my life!

For Uncle Eli

November 18, 2012: This is for Uncle Eli...Aka Paul ( my wonderful brother) Today we tried to put Ty in the Jordan Outfit. Well the picture says it all. It was a little too big lol Don't worry Uncle Eli we will soon fit in it with a smile too. We love our Uncle Eli!!! He has Ty looking fly already. We can't wait until he can wear all of the stylish outfits Uncle Eli sent. We miss you and can't wait for you to come back to the states! ... Ty also can't wait to meet his cousin, Soneli.

Swinging

November 19, 2012: Ty in his swing for the 1st time! I think he likes it :) It has been only 2 days since Ty has been born. We were able to bring this angel home yesterday. Our first night home was rough as it should be, but it was all worth it. Last night I just kept thinking about how blessed and thankful I am to have such wonderful people in my life... And now a sweet healthy baby. I couldn't help but stare at my amazing husband and baby and think of how lucky I am to have these boys in my life :)

Baby Ty has ARRIVED!!

November 17, 2012: My sweet, adorable baby boy has arrived! November 17, 2012 at 3:12 am. He was 6 pounds 13 ounces and absolutely perfect! We are so in love!

Still waiting...

Still waiting for baby Ty, but while I've been waiting I've been decorating and making Christmas things for our home. I am doing a lot of nesting lol I can't wait to see my boy!! Thanks to pintrest my mind has been on the move! My mind that is .... My body is so sore and bloated. My back aches and I'm swollen like a balloon. Please hurry and come sweet boy. Mommy and Daddy are so impatient lol

Pictures: I actually made the wreath! I didn't know I had it in me! I made the candle holder as well, and tied the ribbon to candles. I wish the candles were homemade, but thank you Hobby Lobby! And the tree well come on I don't have the energy to take on a project like that! I just decorated it :) and yes the tree is up. I want to give all my time to Ty. Decorating the house will be one of the last things on my mind when he arrives, so why not do it now. No worries about anything but him :)

The waiting game

As I'm waiting for my little love bug to arrive I've decided to read some over due books. My first book..."One Call Away" by Brenda Warner. My super sweet sister in law, Aubree, let me borrow this book almost a year ago. Yea talk about way over due! I only got halfway through before the busyness of life took over :) It was an awesome busy because I began teaching an amazing group of 1st graders...Love my job. But Now I'm determined to finish that great book! My second book is "The Happiness Project" by Gretchen Rubin. I've been hearing great things about this book for a while now. I have it on hold at Barnes and Noble and plan on picking it up very soon! Positive inspiring books make my day and help me to realize the importance of living life to the fullest everyday! When Ty comes my reading days will be over, but my life will be filled with so much more love :)

Baby furniture :)

Wow! A new house needs furniture etc but a new house with a new baby definitely does :) Can't wait until my beautiful boy is putting them to great use!

Yum...

I woke up in the middle of the night (like always being pregnant) starving. Thanks to my awesome hubby I ate some ranch oyster crackers that he made. Yummy!
It's the simple things in life that we tend forget about and appreciate in our spouses.

My parents and family...
I must say that I really miss my family. I was so use to them being only 30 minutes down the rode and now they are hours and miles away. This will be my first holidays spent away from them. My parents house was the meeting point for my siblings and I , but there's no way this year were all meeting up. On the brighter side of things I have my extended family from marriage that I absolutely love. They are some amazing people that I am very lucky to have in my life. Well ending on that note :) Happy Tuesday!

Baby Stroller!

Thanks to my amazing parents I can now workout with Ty! They bought us an awesome jogging stroller. I can't wait to use it. My hubby did take a picture of me pretending to jog with the stroller... Well I saw the pic and decided that I would look much better after baby came, I went on a diet, and put the stroller to good use lol so the pic will not be posted lol 38 weeks:)

Baby Showers!

I have been so blessed to have such amazing people in my life. My husband and I have had the best baby showers! We are so thankful for all the wonderful gifts for our baby boy. ... I wanted to share one of the amazing baby shower cakes made by my co workers amazing wife!

Sporty Baby Jordan

Thanks to my brother Paul, Ty will be one sporty baby boy! Love the Jordan clothes! My husband says this is what he'll come home from the hospital in. Like father like son :)

Glider has arrived!

August 24, 2012: We love our new glider that Suzie (Nana) and Doug (Pawpaw) got us for Ty's room. It looks perfect! Ty's room is almost complete. Just need a few more things.

September 9, 2012: It's been so long since I've updated! Since school has begun I have been super busy preparing my classroom for my students. Time has flown by! I am now 28 weeks as of Thursday.

Bookshelves Complete!

Aug 12, 2012: I finally completed the bookshelves for Ty's room! I built the bookshelves from scratch, painted them blue, and glued sports pieces on them from my favorite place Hobby Lobby! Then I painted the letters which I also got from Hobby Lobby. Nursery almost complete.

Surprise Baby Shower!

Aug 5, 2012: We had a surprise baby shower while in Virginia. It was hosted by my Aunt Kristi and Aunt Denita. Thank you so much. Great to see my family and friends. Lots of fun :)

23 weeks!

Aug 4, 2012: Baby weighs 1 pound! Only getting bigger from here on! Today we're heading to Virginia to see family! Baby's first flight :)

Paintings for Nursery

July 30, 2012: I worked for 7 hours painting these canvas' for my beautiful baby boys room! I just need to add a few more touches :)

Chalkboard!!!

July 30, 2012: I was at hobby lobby today and saw a large chalkboard at a very great price. I decided to buy it because I had seen a really cool idea that someone had done during their pregnancy. They had their entire pregnancy and well I'm going to start at 22 1/2 weeks :)

The Baby Crib/Changer Combo!

July 28, 2012: The beautiful crib came in today and we put it together! It's perfect!

July 26, 2012: At my check up today Ty's heart rate was 144 then he began to move around a ton to get away from the fetal doppler heart monitor and it jumped all the way to 150! I guess he's not a fan of the Doppler lol

How I told my hubby I was Prego!

July 26, 2012: I was going through some left over boxes from our move and found the box that I surprised my husband with when I told him I was pregnant. Here's a short version of the story: I was anxiously waiting for Justin to get home from work. While I waited and kept myself from blabbing the news over the phone. I found a box, drew and cut out a pink and blue key with possible baby names on them
then put it on a thin key ring. I wrote a note that said "We're not the only ones moving in..." and placed it in the box alongside the keys. When Justin got home I told him I got him a present and placed the box in his hands. He opened it and was so happy, shocked, excited, etc and so on. We both shed tears of joy. One of the best days of our lives :)

Almost 22 weeks

July 25, 2012: I am 1 day away from being 22 weeks. I have a little bump but I sure do love that tiny bump :)

Registering

July 21-22, 2012: We had so much fun registering. My feet were aching by the time we were finished. Newborns require so many things! We went with the in laws Suzie and Doug. They were extremely helpful and bought us our 1st crib/changer and glider for Ty's room. We are so appreciative and lucky! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Painting the Nursery

July 19-25, 2012: My progress so far. Painting those stripes can be very tedious. My favorite part was finally applying the paint after working forever on measuring the lines and taping them, phew! I still need to paint the canvas' and book shelves that I will be hanging on the walls.
